Appointments

We offer a wide range of office hours for your convenience. Our normal hours for appointment are:

One of our main goals is to stay on schedule at all times. Please help us by being on time for your appointments. There are some evening appointments on Tuesdays but these tend to fill up fast. Please give us as much advance notice as possible to schedule your appointment.

Emergency Care:

If there is an urgent problem, please call our office at (617) 969-9676 and we will try to accommodate you as soon as possible. If the office is closed, you will be given specific instructions on how to obtain emergency advice or care.

Cancellations:

Your appointment is time especially reserved for you. If you cannot keep your appointment, please give us as much advance notice as possible.

Financial Policies:

Our goal is to provide optimal periodontal treatment in a warm and caring
environment. We strive to make treatment affordable by keeping our fees as reasonable as possible.

Dental Insurance:

We do accept most major dental insurances (including: Blue Cross, Blue Shield & Delta Premier Plan) and will work with you to ensure you receive the maximum benefits to which you are entitled.

We accept assignment of your benefits and, at the time of service, your only obligation will be what insurance is expected not to cover. We will then bill your insurance company for their portion. If they reimburse less than expected, you will be responsible to pay the difference.

Payment Options:

Payment of your estimated portion is due at the time of service. We accept
checks, cash, Visa or Mastercard.

If needed, other payment options are available. We will be happy to discuss these with you upon your arrival.

Patient Safety:

We take patient safety very seriously and adhere to the highest professional standards of cleanliness, sterilization and radiation control. Sterilization is explained here. X-ray facilities are completely lead lined to prevent scatter radiation and you will be given a lead covering for added protection. Staff attend seminars and are knowledgeable on the latest techniques of infection control.

Premedication:

Patients with certain medical conditions (most notably valvular heart conditions and artificial joints) will be asked to premedicate prior to treatment. We do this with your safety in mind as otherwise there is a risk of complications due to bacterial endocarditis. Please inform us if are in this category.

Post Treatment Instructions:

After treatment, home care and medication will be thoroughly explained. For you convenience you will also be given printed instructions. Of course, we are always available for questions after treatment as well as pain reduction medications, as needed.

We go to extraordinary lengths to ensure our patients are a comfortable as possible during dental procedures. Please see the Procedures page for more information on this.
